Becuase I'm to lazy to write the same stuff over and over again, I'll just link you to the latest whine thread about the "ebil salvage thieves and their low life scummy ways" so you can educate yourself.

And now to give me some fun, I'll respond to your post:

Just finished cancelling a mission I just started. Shortly after beginning the fight, some scum-bag pops in and pops out. That mission is wasted; they're going to steal my wrecks and salvage.
So you cancelled your mission just because someone warped in? If I was drinking anything it would be all over my computer right now. You know you could have continued your mission, or waited for his return and let him take the aggro.

No way I'm going to let them have my loot - thats what pays for the time card. Before I kill a single ship I warp out and cancel the mission.
Why not? If he took your loot you could have shot that "low life". As for the paying of the time card, you must be doing some terrible missions if you rely on them to pay for your sub. See above comment for rest of response.

Got no choice; I don't play pvp (my character is less than a year old) and mission-running requires expensive and specific modules. I can't afford to waste a fully-loaded battleship on thieves that no-doubt are pvp equiped.
But you do have a choice, and you chose to cancel your mission. This is EVE where everything is PvP in some respect. Are you saying that you don't sell anything on the market as well?
As for mission running "requiring expensive and specific modules", HAH! I'm running my missions with T1 unnamed gear and have no trouble at all.

This is a great game for thieving low-life scumbags. There are a thousand ways to rip off other players. For honest players: HAHA, the jokes on you. We're just here for fodder. CCP doesn't give a crap about whether you play the game or not.
I like to consider myself as an honest player, and the joke seems to be more on you. I have not had a single player warp into my mission, including the few I've run in low sec. You're only fodder if you make yourself fodder.

I'd never waste a dime of real money on this game now. I'll play if I can make enough to buy a time card with isk, but I won't play if its just going to be about having to jump through hoops to avoid thieving low-life scum.
By the sounds of it you never did - you just said that you rely on the loot to pay for your time cards. And jump through hoops? Do you really have no idea about the mechanics in play? You are NEVER safe unless docked that is one of the main rules of EVE, closely related to the "Don't fly what you can't afford to lose" mantra. Maybe you actually need to think about how you play instead of going on auto pilot and hitting the F1-F8 keys

I'll never recommend this game to anyone. If CCP doesn't want to make a game for honest people to enjoy, then the rest of you vermin deserve each other.
Send me an email when you decide to fix this crap game.
Don't then, But I'll still recommend it to everyone I see. CCP have done a great job making an MMO that actually feels more that a vacuum of time, and remember I consider myslef to be an honest player - I run missions, do exploration, manufacture my own ammo and modules - and have never had any trouble with people warping into my missions. Maybe you didn't know that nothing is instanced in EVE, and even the safest of safe spots can be found. People stealing your wrecks? Players intruding your missions? |
